THEORYOFEVERYTHING was strong at the head of the market and fulfilled reappearance promise, always in a good position the way the race was run and putting it to bed without much fuss; handy, quickened to lead over 1f out, edged left inside final 1f, kept up to work; he's struggled from higher marks than this previously but looks better than ever at 5.

KELPIE GREY was weak in the betting but showed he retains all his ability after 10 months off, admittedly well placed throughout; prominent, took keen hold, went on over 2f out, headed approaching final 1f, forced to switch inside final 1f, kept on.

ASTEVERDI shaped encouragingly on her first start for 8 months (left Alice Haynes), doing best from off the pace, only two behind her entering the straight; held up, progress 2f out, kept on close home; can be expected to build on this and be winning soon for her new yard (goes well on ground softer than good).

THE OUTLAW (IRE) encountered similar conditions to when making all at Carlisle 6 weeks earlier and matched that form, more required to defy a 6-lb rise however; led, headed over 2f out, one paced.

EVE'S BOY ran creditably upped to 1m off a short break but again didn't get a pace to bring out the best in him; settled mid-field, shaken up 2f out, headway over 1f out, kept on.

LOOK BACK SMILING (IRE) was a bit below his Carlisle second less than 24 hours earlier, this race less forgiving of his customary slow start; slowly into stride, in rear, pushed along 2f out, best work finish.

SEA LEGEND (FR) was back at 8f for the first time since his 2-y-o days and never likely to muster the pace to get involved at this trip, unsuited by the way the race developed given his usual waiting tactics; raced off the pace, effort 2f out, beaten 1f out.

LAW OF DESIGN (IRE) has performed dismally this season, few conceivable excuses on this occasion, soon well placed in fact; tracked pace, folded tamely 2f out, not persevered with once held; not one to be interested in.
