Winning Owner: McNeill Family

Time: 5m 54.1s Closing Sectional: (2.95f): 45.50s (107.2%)

With only 4 runners rated 130 or higher, this wasn’t a strong race by 0-140 standards, though it still looks a race to view positively all the same, the winner totally unexposed and immediately followed home by a pair of similarly lightly-raced sorts, the trio pulling well clear of the remainder.

PORTRUSH TED (IRE) back down in trip, proved at least as good as ever and maintained his unbeaten record over hurdles after 17 months off; disputed lead, travelled well, went on early in straight, ridden from last, always holding on; lightly-raced for one his age and still very much unexposed, he looks to follow this season.

GRAND MORNING back over hurdles, got firmly back on track after 10 months off, giving best only to an unexposed sort; waited with, went in snatches, good progress home turn, ridden from 3 out, stayed on.

BETTER GETALONG (IRE) back up in trip, ran up to best; in touch, travelled well, took closer order from 4 out, second 3 out, kept on, pulled clear of rest.

KING OF FASHION (IRE) shaped as if retaining ability on first outing since leaving Kerry Lee after 20 months off; in touch, chased leaders early final circuit, left behind by principals from home turn, merely plugged on.

ONE FOR HARRY (IRE) back up in trip, might have still needed the run after 7 weeks off; disputed lead, ridden from 5 out, third 3 out, weakened.

TAXMEIFYOUCAN (IRE) wasn't in the same form as last time; raced off the pace, not fluent 4 out, ridden leaving back straight, made little impression.

ETERNALLY YOURS ran poorly for no obvious reason after 8 weeks off; chased leaders until 4 out, weakened.

STRONG ECONOMY (IRE) back over hurdles, was well held after 14 months off; in touch, took closer order circuit out, weakened between 4 out and 3 out.

FINE RIGHTLY (IRE) shaped as if needing the run after 12 months off; held up, took strong hold, took closer order 4 out, in contention entering straight, weakened from 3 out, pulled up 2 out; next run should reveal more.
