after just 4 days off, completed the hat-trick, better than ever in the process, this yard deserving of plenty of credit for turning him around, though he doesn't have a completely clean slate, looking a shade reluctant early, but no knocking him in the finish; slowly into stride, raced off the pace, headway over 2f out, led over 1f out, edged right, kept going well; he's already due to be 6 lb higher next time, pushing him back into a higher grade where he'll likely find life tougher.

turned in his best effort since joining this yard; in rear, good progress from 2f out, every chance inside final 1f, carried right by winner but also carried head awkwardly, kept on; he'll be of interest again, given a chance by the handicapper (rated higher still in France), and already a winner on all-weather, with a view to the winter.

ran creditably, just about backing up his Chester improvement, though unable to build on that back in a handicap, if anything leaving the impression that he wants the emphasis more on stamina, taking a bit of stoking up; in touch, shaken up over 2f out, kept on; he's worth another try at 1½m.

after just 6 days off, ran better than last time without returning to the form shown here last month, his finishing effort lacking; raced wide, mid-field, smooth progress over 2f out, every chance soon after, shaken up approaching final 1f, found less than looked likely.

without the headgear this time and gelded since last seen, might have needed the run after 4 months off, though he hasn't learnt to settle during his break; led, took strong hold, headed over 1f out, no extra.

A handicap that lacked unexposed sorts but the form amongst the principals looks solid enough, the winner thriving and the runner-up having edged down the weights; the pace was sound with the first 2 coming from behind.

DAAWY (IRE) after just 4 days off, completed the hat-trick, better than ever in the process, this yard deserving of plenty of credit for turning him around, though he doesn't have a completely clean slate, looking a shade reluctant early, but no knocking him in the finish; slowly into stride, raced off the pace, headway over 2f out, led over 1f out, edged right, kept going well; he's already due to be 6 lb higher next time, pushing him back into a higher grade where he'll likely find life tougher.
