justified support as he got off the mark for the season following better signs at the end of last month, the return to further in his favour; tracked pace, produced to lead over 2f out, threatened final 1f, responded well; his reassessed mark won't stop him going close again, placed twice in big fields at York from a BHA mark of 100 last summer.

without usual hood, nonetheless again shaped well, his turn surely near; tracked pace, travelled well, chased leader under 2f out (rather conceded first run), ran on to come clear of remainder.

picked up where left off when last seen 9 weeks earlier, still in form, though a reassessed mark another 5 lb higher makes life tough, not often he gets away on terms as he did here, either; patiently ridden, shaken up early in straight, stayed on gradually.

All 11 ran. Race Distance Adjustment: +24 yds

Winning Owner: Geoff & Sandra Turnbull

Time: 2m 10.54s Closing Sectional: (3.00f): 38.60s (101.5%)

A good level in terms of quality but not many could be considered unexposed and even the pair of 3-y-os with a claim to such were never a factor after slow starts, the latter stages dominated by a pair of market principals who sat just off a contested pace, the first 4 all coming centre-to-near side.

KINGS GIFT (IRE) justified support as he got off the mark for the season following better signs at the end of last month, the return to further in his favour; tracked pace, produced to lead over 2f out, threatened final 1f, responded well; his reassessed mark won't stop him going close again, placed twice in big fields at York from a BHA mark of 100 last summer.

NOT SO SLEEPY without usual hood, nonetheless again shaped well, his turn surely near; tracked pace, travelled well, chased leader under 2f out (rather conceded first run), ran on to come clear of remainder.

SEPAL (USA) shaped as if as good as ever by the end after 9 months off, having shown signs of rust; mid-field, pushed along before straight, rallied over 1f out, stayed on.

ZABEEL STAR (IRE) picked up where left off when last seen 9 weeks earlier, still in form, though a reassessed mark another 5 lb higher makes life tough, not often he gets away on terms as he did here, either; patiently ridden, shaken up early in straight, stayed on gradually.

GLASSES UP (USA) is better judged on the form in which he arrived rather than this, immediately on the back foot following a slow start; raced off the pace, shaken up straight, made no impression.
