Time: 1m 44.44s

Overrounds: Industry SP 115%, Betfair SP 101.8%

Not the deepest race of its type by any means but the result makes sense, the winner coming from the rear to get back on the up, fending off the favourite who stepped up on his reappearance effort.

THEORYOFEVERYTHING has really found his feet for current yard now and, faced with nothing like as tough a task as he had been set at York, quickly resumed winning ways; held up, good headway over 1f out, led final 1f, edged right, kept on; should remain competitive.

BENNETOT (IRE) turned in another solid effort from a workable mark; held up, headway under pressure out wide over 1f out, kept on.

HAFEET ALAIN (IRE) is on a mark which leaves little room for error but ran creditably returning from 4 months off; prominent, challenged over 1f out, no extra final 100 yds.

NAVAGIO (IRE) has gone the wrong way from his reappearance and struggled to get involved after 10 weeks off; in rear, outpaced 2f out, plugged on.

CLASSIC again ran below form and has gone off the boil after shaping with promise earlier in the campaign; dwelt, mid-field, headway under pressure over 1f out, not quicken.

INSPIRITUS (IRE) without the hood this time, ran poorly having gone from the front back down in trip; led until 1f out, weakened; the evidence is mounting that he's better on all-weather.

SON OF MAN (IRE) hasn't stood much racing this year and ran below form on first outing since leaving Jane Chapple-Hyam after 11 weeks off (sold for 100,000 gns); mid-field, ridden over 2f out, weakened 1f out.
