back up in trip, completed a hat-trick on his first try in graded company, again plenty to like about the way he did things; led, jumped well in main, travelled well, in command 3 out, mistake 2 out, shaken up after, reduced advantage run-in but in no danger; open to further improvement, the Scilly Isles the obvious next step.

ran well upped in grade, though no real threat to the winner and beating a pair that didn't run their races; tracked pace, jumped well in main (untidy ninth), shaken up 4 out, left behind by winner next, kept on; he's ready for a try over further (will stay 3m).
