THE TURPINATOR (IRE) back down in trip, this likely to suit better than further on turf, though failed to build on the promise of last run; mid-field, ridden over 2f out, weakened. CHIEFOFCHIEFS had finished hot on the heels of the fourth at Kempton last time and can be forgiven this run given the trouble he ran into; held up, travelled well, headway when badly hampered entering final 1f, kept on, finished with running left. POPMASTER (IRE) was upped in trip and failed to see things out; close up, ridden over 2f out, weakened over 1f out. SPIRIT OF LIGHT (IRE) cut little ice on first outing since leaving E. Charpy, albeit from the centre of the track; mid-division, ridden 2f out, weakened inside final 1f. MAGICAL MORNING might have needed the run after 7 months off, and did win second time out last season, though this didn't contain much promise; mid-field, ridden over 2f out, weakened inside final 1f. GIOIA CIECA (USA) failed to repeat last effort; close up, pushed along over 2f out, weakened approaching final 1f. SHOOT TO KILL (IRE) wasn't in the same form as last time; prominent, ridden over 2f out, weakened quickly. BALDOMERO (IRE) fared no better than last time, and though there was mitigation given his draw/track position, he still needs to show himself as good on turf as all-weather; mid-division, ridden 2f out, weakened inside final 1f. TADREEB (IRE) was left poorly placed but again ran poorly; held up, made no impression. ROYAL PLEASURE (IRE) turned out again quickly, wasn't in the same form as last time; chased leaders, lost place over 2f out. PATH OF THUNDER (IRE) was well held, his positioning a secondary issue; mid-field, ridden over 2f out, found little.
