was well backed in a Group 2 last time, struggling on that occasion but making no mistake in this lesser grade, resuming her progress from handicaps and showing a good attitude to prevail; raced wide, in touch, took strong hold, went prominent halfway, led 2f out, tackled approaching final 1f, battled well; will continue to give a good account.

wasted no time getting back on track, running right up to her best and seeing out the longer trip well, if anything leaving the impression that a stronger gallop may have played more to her strengths; mid-field, pushed along entering straight, headway soon after, effort over 1f out, stuck to task, just failed.

ran creditably but had every chance; mid-field, travelled well, headway entering straight, effort under 2f out, every chance soon after, no extra final 50 yds; he didn't beat much at Goodwood in hingsight, that performance perhaps slightly flattering, but he'll continue to hold his own at this sort of level.

produced best effort to date up in grade, despite leaving the impression that she needs the emphasis more on stamina; raced off the pace, pushed along entering straight, kept on final 1f, never landed a blow; remains with potential, either for a more strongly-run race at this trip or for 2m.

wasn't disgraced on form, highly tried since his debut, could do with dropping down the grades but it's clear he wants a stamina test, not really getting that here; held up, headway over 2f out, one paced.

upped in trip, had created a big impression on debut and, for most of the race, went some way to confirming it, something clearly not right in the straight but he'd travelled comfortably until that point; chased leader, travelled smoothly, shaken up over 2f out, folded, eased off; he's very much the sort to progress next year.

A below-par renewal of this listed event but it produced a thrilling finish and the result looks a fair reflection on the day; the early pace was modest, increasing over 3f out.
