had excuses at York last month and got back on track with a bang, proving way ahead of his revised BHA mark (12 lb higher than handicap debut win), blowing away some useful, in-form handicappers in the manner of one that's on his way to much bigger and better things; patiently ridden, tanked along, rapid progress over 2f out, led on bridle entering final 1f, quickened clear, impressive; he's a pattern sprinter in the making, more improvement to come, and has to remain of plenty of interest.

has developed into a very useful, consistent sprinter and this was yet another good effort, simply up against one with tons in hands in The Tin Man and worth plenty of credit for his beating of the rest; close up, led over 2f out, headed entering final 1f, kept on, no match for winner; will continue to give a good account and there might be some more improvement in him as a 4-y-o, this his first season after all.

shaped similarly to last 2 starts, again hitting the frame, and although looking quite hard work he did give generously for pressure; led overall, strongly driven when headed over 2f out, stuck to task; he's worth another try at 7f at some point.

hasn't been at his best since C&D win on reappearance but a return to the patient tactics employed by Jamie Spencer that day might help him, a bit too keen early here; mid-division, took strong hold, chased leaders over 1f out, one paced.

What looked an open handicap was blown apart by The Tin Man, a most progressive 3-y-o, and a really positive view should be taken given that the race behind him actually has the look of a solid sprint, with a pair that arrived on the back of good efforts filling the places; the 3 that were highest drawn came near side and it evidently wasn't the place to be as all finished well beaten.

THE TIN MAN had excuses at York last month and got back on track with a bang, proving way ahead of his revised BHA mark (12 lb higher than handicap debut win), blowing away some useful, in-form handicappers in the manner of one that's on his way to much bigger and better things; patiently ridden, tanked along, rapid progress over 2f out, led on bridle entering final 1f, quickened clear, impressive; he's a pattern sprinter in the making, more improvement to come, and has to remain of plenty of interest.

HEARTBREAK HERO easy to put a line through this run and he did much the best of the trio that raced near side, chasing the leader in the group, hanging right over 1f out and then no extra.

APACHE STORM run best overlooked; raced near side, led group, weakened over 2f out, not well placed.
