There's very little between the principals here, but ANGEL'S HIDEAWAY has posted some useful efforts this season and is worth another chance after not being seen to best effect in a Group 3 at Goodwood last time. In-form Di Fede is greatly feared after finishing ahead of John Gosden's filly at Goodwood while Solar Gold isn't dismissed lightly either in an open contest.
A useful handicap, but it's hard to look beyond SAROOG. Simon Crisford has his string in fine form and this low-mileage 4-y-o can make light of a 5 lb rise to complet his hat-trick. Charles Kingsley is a reliable sort and looks the one to chase him home ahead of Theglasgowwarrior, who should find these conditions much more in his favour.
STRADIVARIUS and Dee Ex Bee lock horns for the fourth time this season. John Gosden's charge has to concede 5 lb on this occasion compared to 3lb at York last time but it's not expected to prevent this outstanding stayer stretching his winning run to 10 and becoming the first since Double Trigger in 1995 to complete the stayers' triple crown of Ascot, Goodwood and Doncaster Cups.
A'ALI seemed stretched by 6f on soft ground in the Morny and is taken to resume his progression back at the minimum trip and notch his third Group 2 success of the season. Alligator Alley should continue to go the right way on the back of his York listed win and looks the main threat ahead of Wheels On Fire, who has his first outing for new handler Aidan Fogarty here.
