The Tote Scoop6 has become an extremely popular bet in recent years. The possibility of winning vast sums of money for potentially just a £2 stake makes it an appealing proposition for infrequent bettors and professionals alike.
This weekend the win fund has rolled over to £1,005,634 while the bonus pot has climbed to £700,180
Both funds are estimated a combined total of £2,500,000.
Saturday's totescoop6 races are:
Leg 1, Warwick 12.40
MERCER'S TROOP has a fair bit of scope from his current mark mindful of his Flat exploits and the way he shaped at Plumpton last time suggests he's in the sort of form to take advantage. He's a confident choice ahead of last-time-out winner Texan Nomad and the relatively unexposed Percy Prosecco.
Leg 2, Fairyhouse 2.10
BLAZER could the eye at Leopardstown over Christmas and remains of interest off his current mark back down in trip. Kildorrery is progressing well over fences and is another to consider, with Duca de Thaix making most appeal of Gordon Elliott's quartet.
Leg 3, Kempton 2.40
LORD NAPIER is unbeaten in 2 previous outings around 2½m and might be worth siding with after putting in some good late work in the very competitive Betfair Exchange Hurdle over 2m at Ascot last time. Kloud Gate is inexperienced for a race of this nature but has to be feared after hacking up in a couple of small-field handicaps last month. Erick Le Rouge and Cotswold Way are also much respected.
Leg 4, Warwick 3.00
STEP BACK should be all the sharper with his reappearance behind him and can get back on the up with the cheekpieces he wore to such good effect at Sandown last spring back in place. Nigel Twiston-Davies pair Cogry and Calett Mad head the dangers along with last year's winner Milansbar.
Leg 5, Warwick 3.35
FIRST ASSIGNMENT failed to meet market expectations at Haydock in November but he’s been given a break since and can get back on the up for his excellent yard. Keeper Hill must enter the reckoning after running up to his best at Cheltenham last time, with Lungarno Palace and Notwhatiam others capable of having a say.
Leg 6, Lingfield 3.40
AFFLUENCE took a big step back in the right direction when third at Chelmsford 4 weeks ago, deserving of extra credit having made his move earlier than most. He's on a workable mark on that evidence and could be worth chancing to shed the maiden tag. Tesorina and Sharp Operator are also respected, whilst Prerogative makes some each-way appeal of the remainder.
