Saturday's ITV Racing Tips - Newmarket, Ascot & York

Play smarter on Saturday as we provide our expert analyst's tips for every race shown on ITV Racing on super Saturday from Newmarket, Ascot and York.

13:45 Bfred Heritage Handicap - Asoct

The vote goes to LINE OF REASON, who has shaped as though his turn is near the last twice, putting in good late work when sixth in the Newcastle handicap won by Fool For You, and when third of 19 at York 24 hours later. He is on a good mark and should benefit from this return to a stiffer track. Fool For You should be in the mix once again and is feared most ahead of Embour and Jumira Bridge.

14:05 John Smith's City Walls Stakes (listed) - York

COPPER KNIGHT has returned as good as ever in high-end handicaps this season and, with a fine course record to call upon, is fancied to make a bold bid to make the breakthrough at listed level. Plenty have claims in opposition though, headed up by Poetry, Caspian Prince and Emblazoned.

14:20 bet365 Mile Handicap - Newmarket (July)

HONEST ALBERT accounted for Bayroot when making it 2-2 at Nottingham last month and is taken to confirm his superiority over that rival and stretch his unbeaten record to 3. Motakhayyel has quickly developed into a very useful performer and could be the one to give John Gosden's charge most to do.

14:40 John Smith's Silver Cup Stakes (Group 3) - York

Last season’s Ebor runner-up WEEKENDER can make the breakthrough at this level this time around following a comfortable success at Chelmsford in May. Gold Mount and Raheen House rate the principal threats.

14:55 bet365 Superlative Stakes (Group 2) - Newmarket (July)

KING'S COMMAND is following the same route as last year's winner Quorto (for same connections), and shaped as though crying out for this step up to 7f here last time. There should be any amount of improvement in him now, and he is narrowly preferred to Juan Elcano, who is open to significant progress given the manner of his debut win at Haydock. Shared Belief is another interesting contender.

15:15 John Smith's Racing Handicap - York

Having been gelded over the winter, RISE HALL has returned an improved model, scoring at Nottingham in April prior to a solid second behind a Godolphin runner at Newmarket since. He can capitalise in a class 2 event lacking depth on balance. Escobar ran a stormer at Sandown last weekend and he is feared, whilst Just Hiss appeals at likely longer odds.

15:30 bet365 Bunbury Cup (Heritage Handicap) - Newmarket (July)

SOLAR GOLD looked unlucky not to go very close (finished well after meeting trouble) when third in an AW listed event last time and could be well treated from a mark in the mid-90s. Kynren has an excellent record in these big-field events and is likely to give another good account. Crossing The Line, who was in front of the selection at Chelmsford, and Spanish City are also shortlisted.

15:50 John Smith's Diamond Jubilee Cup Handicap - York

A typically competitive renewal with preference for STYLEHUNTER. There is very much an air of unfinished business about John Gosden's charge in big-field handicaps, having not had the rub of the green on each of his last 3 starts, and he remains open to improvement at 1¼m. Exec Chef, Setting Sail, My Lord And Master and Mountain Angel head up a long shortlist of dangers.

16:40 Darley July Cup Stakes (Group 1) - Newmarket (July)

Three-year-olds have won 3 of the last 4 renewals and ADVERTISE holds strong claims of further enhancing that record. He proved better than ever in blinkers at Royal Ascot 3 weeks ago, putting his below-par return in the 2000 Guineas well behind him, and has already proved his liking for this track when winning the July Stakes over C&D 12 months ago. Dream of Dreams and Brando are feared most.

16:00 Summer Mile Stakes (Group 2) - Ascot

There's very little between the principals in this Group 2 contest and ZAAKI is taken to retain his unbeaten record this season and record his biggest win yet into the bargain. Sir Michael Stoute's late developer faces stern opposition in the shape of last year's winner and Queen Anne runner-up Beat The Bank while gutsy Matterhorn isn't dismissed lightly either.
