1 - DEFINITLY RED
Grade 2 hurdles winner here in 2015 and better known as a classy chaser these days. Good fourth back in a handicap in the Becher at Aintree last month and not out of this with a repeat of that form.
2 - ACTING LASS
Back in top form, successful in Chepstow handicap chase in the mud before a fine run in the Ascot Silver Cup handicap last month (jumped and battled well). Big shout up only 3 lb.
3 - FLYING ANGEL
Grade 1 winner as a novice chaser and successful for the first time since in 21f Ascot handicap in November. Not so good in the Grand Sefton next time and is 3 lb higher back up in trip now.
4 - VINTAGE CLOUDS
C&D winner back to something like his best when third in the Tommy Whittle here last month but it all looked typically hard work. Fell when going well in this 3 years ago.
5 - RED INDIAN
Last season went off the rails after a winning start in Ayr novice chase but it's still early days and good record fresh bodes well. Should cope with this test and has excellent 5 lb conditional up.
6 - CHAMPERS ON ICE
Has returned a rejuvenated model over hurdles in this headgear, successful in 3m handicaps at Ffos Las and Newbury before a game defeat at Cheltenham. Has unfinished business back over fences.
7 - GERONIMO
Successful return in 20f Newcastle handicap chase last month, clicking under Ryan Mania (first pro to ride him). This will be only his seventh start over fences and he has a good staying prize in him.
8 - PRIME VENTURE
Yet to win over fences but has some useful efforts to his name, not least last month's Welsh National fourth in first-time cheekpieces. Will relish this test so wouldn't dismiss.
9 - MIDNIGHT TUNE
Useful sort who has made the most of good opportunities when landing short odds in mares' novice chases at Uttoxeter (3m) and Exeter. This much more competitive but she's unexposed as a stayer.
10 - CLAUD AND GOLDIE
Back to winning ways in Kelso veterans' handicap chase on return last month, finding plenty. This is a lot tougher back up in trip and his jumping hasn't always been fluent.
ACTING LASS is back in top form and can land this good prize with conditions set to hold no fears. Champers On Ice has been thriving over hurdles and can go well back in this sphere on what will be just his fifth start over the larger obstacles. The returning Red Indian is one to note at bigger odds.
