Old Persian has been towards the top of the betting for Saturday's big race ever since his victory in the Great Voltigeur at York last month and his trainer Charlie Appleby has now confirmed that his stablemate Loxley will be joining him in the line-up.
Charlie Appleby has already broke new ground for the boys in blue this season, winning Godolphin's first ever Derby with Masar, and they are aiming to clinch a notable double with victory in the final classic of the season on Saturday.
Loxley finished second in the Bahrain Trophy in July but has since won twice in France, and had been under consideration for the Prix Niel this weekend, but will instead stay closer to home.

Appleby confirmed to www.godolphin.com: "We have decided to run two in the Leger - Old Persian will be ridden by William Buick, while James Doyle will be on Loxley."
