The three-time champion jockey was presented with a picture of his victory aboard Lancelot Du Lac in the 2017 Stewards' Cup by officials at the course on Friday, to commemorate the landmark which he secured aboard the John Gosden-trained Terebellum 24 hours earlier.
Since riding his first winner in Britain aboard the Luca Cumani-trained Lizzy Hare at the Sussex course in 1987, the popular Italian has celebrated 70 winners at Glorious Goodwood, which includes four Sussex Stakes victories and three Goodwood Cup triumphs.
Dettori said: "I was talking to somebody yesterday and I knew I was close, then I had it confirmed to me this morning. We didn't celebrate it yesterday, but thanks for presenting me with this picture."
Asked about his most special Goodwood moment, he added: "It is my first winner in England, which was in June 1987 - 32 years ago and I'm still here! Your first winner you never forget, as it is pretty special.
"She (Lizzy Hare) drove me to the races that day. She was Luca's secretary and Luca owned the filly and named it after her."
