Ever dreamt of owning a racehorse and experiencing what it's like to own a winner? Well here's a great opportunity to own a well-bred two-year-old filly thanks to Racehorse Lotto!

Would you like to own a racehorse with top-class potential? Well here's a superb chance to do so, so be sure to read on to find out more.

This Christmas one lucky entrant to the Racehorse Lotto Christmas Raffle will win an impeccably bred two-year-old filly ahead of the 2021 Flat racing season, with the prize winner owning her from 25th December 2020 through until 16th October 2021.

Should you be lucky enough to win the prize, you'll have access to visit trainer James Ferguson’s Newmarket base regularly, while plans are in place for Hayley Turner, the first female jockey to ride 100 Flat winners in a calendar year, to play a leading role in the horses work both on and off the course.  It's important to point out that all training fees are to be covered by Racehorse Lotto, meaning that once you've paid to enter the raffle, there's no other costs to think about!

How can I get involved and what is included?

Sound interesting so far? If you'd like to get involved to be in with a chance of winning this two-year-old filly, then we've got all the details you need to know.

Raffle tickets are priced at £10 per ticket, of which 20% of sales goes directly to Racing Welfare. The raffle is to be drawn on Christmas Day, with the winner contacted immediately after the draw, so make this Christmas Day even more special and give yourself the chance to win this brilliant prize!

Naming rights for the filly are also included in the prize, whilst the winner will also have the opportunity to design and select their own racing silks. Better still, the raffle winner will keep any prize money and could also win a Great British Bonus of up to £20,000 for each eligible race the filly wins.

Pedigree Information

To be trained by James Ferguson, this well-bred two-year-old filly, who is to be named by the raffle winner, is by the Group 1-winning stallion Territories, out of the mare Satsuma.

Her sire Territories, trained throughout his racing career by Andre Fabre, became a winner at the highest level when scoring in the Prix Jean Prat at Chantily in 2015 running to a Timeform rating of 123+ in that victory. He was also placed on no less than three ocassions in Group 1 company, including of course the 2000 Guineas at Newmarket that same season, when only beaten by Aidan O'Brien's brilliant Gleaneagles.

With plenty of speed in her pedigree, the filly is reported to be a short distance sprinter, and could be set to feature next summer at prestigious courses such as Ascot, Goodwood, York or at her local track Newmarket!

Insight from the team behind the project

Hayley Turner, said: “This is exactly the kind of thing that racing and the wider public need at the moment. It gets people excited, optimistic and involved in the sport, while importantly raising money for Racing Welfare who do such fabulous work for the industry.”

“She looks a beautiful filly and I can’t wait to start riding her out over the winter. James is a brilliant young trainer and I think the winner can expect to have some fun times with the filly.”

The filly is a half-sister to Group 3 Cornwallis Stakes winner Good Vibes, who reached a rating of 103 last summer and returned over £100,000 in prize money for connections.

James Ferguson, said: “While this is not just a fantastic opportunity for somebody to get involved in racing, it’s also a brilliant chance for me as this filly could be a star.

“She’s speedily bred and, all being well, will be forward enough to tackle some of the hot maidens in the spring and early summer.”

Hugh O’Donnell, Founder and CEO of Furlong Gaming, the parent company of Racehorse Lotto, said: “We have spent all summer looking for the right horse to wrap up as our Christmas Raffle prize and I think we’ve found a cracker.

“I’m delighted to have Hayley and James on board as they are both so enthusiastic about giving their all for the horse. Whoever wins this prize should be in for an amazing ride in 2021.

“We’d like to encourage as many people as possible to enter the Christmas Raffle. For just £10 a ticket there is a potentially life-changing gift up for grabs and with enough entries we can make a significant contribution to Racing Welfare.”

Christmas Raffle entries open on Monday 9th November and close at 3pm on Friday 25th December, with the winner set to be called on Christmas Day to receive the good news.
