is most progressive and resumed winning ways 8 weeks on from York, impressing with how readily he made up ground having been set a lot to do; dropped out, travelled well, switched under 2f out, good headway approaching final 1f, led final 100 yds, stayed on well; he's one to keep on side, with the Ayr Gold Cup a potential option.

is improving in leaps and bounds, complementing his impressive reappearance win with a huge effort on handicap debut, coming nicely clear of the rest with another progressive type; patiently ridden, smooth headway over 2f out, closed all the way to the line, just failed; will go on improving and is one to keep on side next time, 7f likely to be well within range in time as well given his breeding.

gelded since last seen and notably strong in the betting, looked a much improved model in getting off the mark with plenty to spare and will be a useful handicapper at least on this evidence, worth persevering with at 6f judged on the speed he showed here; never far away, travelled fluently, produced to lead final 1f, had plenty in hand; he's sure to go on improving and will be one to have on side when going handicapping next.

after 7 weeks off, shaped better than the bare result, the 3 that beat him all more prominently-positioned; held up, good headway from 3f out, chased leaders over 1f out, made no impression, had a hopeless task from position; remains with potential.
