given a breathing operation since his last run, just ran no sort of race; always behind.

after 9 weeks off, shaped much better than the distance beaten suggests, looking set to be involved in the finish early in the straight, but his repsonse to pressure was underwhelming; dropped out, travelled better than most, crept closer from thirteenth, in contention approaching 4 out, shaken up soon after, held when mistake next.

was below form in his first handicap over fences, though he was set a mountain to climb from the outset and will be worth another chance, his record evidence that he's not reliant on these extreme hold-up tactics; dropped right out, mistake ninth, hampered eleventh, still plenty to do home turn, never nearer.
15 Nov 20 Chl C2 Novice 3/5 20 Chase N 24.4f Heavy (h+t) A. P. Heskin 8/19 10.5 -/1.7 4x 111.6 109 130+ 156+
ran respectably, though would have done even better had his jumping held together late on, his error at the second last the worst of 3 over the last 3 fences; held up, headway when mistake 3 out, close up when bad mistake next, weakening when slow last.
29 Sep 20 Ban C3 Novice 1/5 0.02 Chase N 24f Gd/Sft (h+t) A. P. Heskin 5/61.83f 1.93 2.06/- 5k 111.3 141 134+ 160+
resumed winning ways though made harder work of things than seemed likely for most of the way and is arguably better judged on his recent Uttoxeter second; patiently ridden, travelled smoothly, went handy twelfth, produced to lead 2 out (not fluent there), hard driven and just held on.
9 Sep 20 Utt C3 Novice 2/6 0.75 Chase N 20f Good (h+t) A. P. Heskin 5/23.5 3.6 -/1.37 1k 95.0 163 135 161
has taken well to chasing, losing little in defeat against a smart rival here; made running, went with zest, joined 4 out, bumped between last 2, gave best only late on (pulled clear of rest).
10 Aug 20 Sou C3 Novice 1/3 12 Chase N 24.3f Gd/Frm (h+t) A. P. Heskin 4/111.36f 1.41 1.51/- 1 100.4 130 124+ 150+
the pick on hurdles form, is built to make an even better chaser and took advantage of this simple task to make a winning start after 5 months off; made all, jumped adequately, cruised clear from end of back straight, had plenty in hand.

got back on the up after a breathing operation/4 months off, covering a fair bit more ground than the pair he split (who both brought strong form into the race); mid-field, travelled well, rapid headway out wide after 3 out, every chance between last 2, not quicken run-in; he's got the physique/style of a chaser but, on this evidence, should have more races in him in this sphere before making the switch.

didn't have the chance the market suggested, looking on a stiff enough mark for handicap debut, and ran well, just leaving the impression in the end that this trip on a stiff track/testing ground stretched him; raced wide, patiently ridden, headway 2 out, disputed third last, no extra late on.
26 Oct 19 Chl C2 Novice 2/5 4.5 Hurdle N 24f Heavy (h+t) A. P. Heskin 7/24.5 5.77 -/2.4 5k 107.0 135 137+ 163+
ran creditably after 4 months off over a longer trip and on much softer ground than he'd been winning on in the summer, the combination perhaps just stretching him at the end, admittedly against a thorough stayer to whom he was conceding 8 lb; in rear, travelled well, headway after 2 out, close up when mistake last, ridden and no extra.

has been well placed in recent weeks, and didn't need to be at his best to complete a 4-timer; waited with, headway out wide early final circuit, went second 3 out, ridden soon after, led early in straight, drew clear between last 2, kept up to work.
5 Jun 19 Fnt C4 Novice 1/3 12 Hurdle N 21.8f Good (h+t) A. P. Heskin 6/42.5f 2.66 3/- 4k 108.8 132 128+ 154+
made the most of a good opportunity, his third win in the space of 4 weeks; waited with, travelled fluently, hit sixth, close up 3 out, went on entering straight, in command last, won readily; things are likely to get harder now, more needed in handicaps from a mark that before this stood at 131.
25 May 19 Crt C4 Novice 1/4 4 Hurdle N 22.1f Good (h+t) A. P. Heskin 7/42.75 3.84 7.2/- 5 106.6 133 119 145
has improved with each run over hurdles and followed up his maiden success earlier in the month; dropped out, took closer order 3 out, quickened to lead soon after last, in command straight; his size suggests he'll be even better over fences when the time comes.
9 May 19 Hun C5 Novice 1/6 42 Hurdle N 20.7f Gd/Sft (h+t) A. P. Heskin 11/43.75 4.2 16/- 5 104.0 137 112+ 138+
turned out fairly quickly by his standards, got off the mark without needing to improve much, Welsh Saint unable to translate his bumper form at the first attempt; dropped out, good progress out wide 4 out, produced to lead 2 out, in control when left long way clear last, won easily.
21 Apr 19 MRa C5 Novice 2/7 5 Hurdle N 20.6f Gd/Frm (h+t) Fergus Gregory (5) 6/42.5 2.8 -/2.5 5k§ 116.6 99 108+ 134+
well backed under a claimer, showed improved form but looked a hard ride on first outing since leaving Warren Greatrex in first-time hood and tongue strap (also had breathing operation) after 5 months off; dropped out, smooth headway back straight, lost place home turn, kept on straight, looked awkward; capable of winning something similar on this evidence but doesn't look one to be with at short odds.

was back in trip after 12 months off but again failed to meet market expectations, his performances following a similar pattern of not seeing things out; made running, mistake fourth, headed after 3 out, folded.

making his hurdling debut, proved to be a disappointment given his position in the market but shaped better than the distance beaten suggests; led, jumped well, headed home turn, found little; something of a concern that he hasn't seen out either of his races this winter.
12 Nov 17 San C4 Stks 3/10 12.5 NH Flat W 16f Soft A. P. Heskin 5/42.25f 2.37 -/1.66 1 101.9 107 91+ 117+
sold from Emmet Mullins for €135,000 2 days after his debut, was all the rage in the market but failed to meet expectations after 7 months off, perhaps overdoing things in front; led, pressed on entering straight, headed 2f out, weakened final 1f; looks the part and may yet do better.

(by Robin Des Champs: first foal: dam, unraced, half-sister to bumper winner/fairly useful hurdler (stayed 2½m) Meetmeatthemoon) produced a promising first effort, shaping very well; never far away, raced along inside, travelled smoothly, edged ahead 2f out, tackled final 1f, headed inside final 100 yds, kept on; seems sure to progress and go one better before too long.
