successful both previous tries on all-weather (for different yard), but has yet to fire on all cylinders this year and fared no better after 8 weeks off; mid-division, took keen hold, shaken up over 2f out, lugged right, one paced.

was below form, though spared a hard time once his chance had gone; in touch, effort over 2f out, no extra over 1f out, not persevered with once held.
20 Jul 19 Nwb C2 Hcap (0-110) 2/8 4.00 Turf 93 7f Gd/Sft Andrea Atzeni 3/14jf 4.29 -/2 3 90 95 107
gave a strong indication that he'll be winning again soon, bumping into a very well-treated winner, having to race from 3 lb above his actual mark too; in touch, headway under 2f out, left behind by winner 1f out but kept on for a ready second; one to look out for.
27 Jun 19 Nmj C2 Hcap (0-100) 5/12 1.55 Turf 94 7f Good Liam Keniry 40/141 90 -/6 3 100.1 108 96+ 108+
on first outing since leaving Richard Hannon after 14 months off, has been given a chance by the handicapper and proved that he retains at least a good chunk of his ability; mid-field, not clear run 2f out, kept on final 1f.

was fourth in this last year, on the up then, in contrast to now, looking out of sorts here as he had in Dubai, a hood not doing anything for him, struggling fully 3f out.

17 Feb 18 Mey Hcap 13/14 11.5 Turf 102 7f Good James Doyle 14/1 17.24 -/9 3 101.6 75 87
went backwards from his reappearance, maybe just not the right fit for the Carnival after all.
18 Jan 18 Mey Hcap 9/18 8 Turf 102 8f Good Sean Levey 16/1 40.93 -/20 4 102.4 88? 100?
has the right tools for Carnival handicaps, likely to be all the better for this, returning from a break and needing to fight his way through in the straight.

21 Oct 17 Asc C2 Hcap 16/20 11 Turf 108 8f Soft Hollie Doyle (3) 25/126 46.58 -/40 5s 101.6 95 90 102
looked badly-in under a penalty for a non-handicap win but ran poorly anyway; dwelt, in rear, struggling long way out.
9 Oct 17 Sal C3 Stks 1/5 1.25 Turf W 7f Soft Tom Marquand 11/82.37f 2.51 2.54/- 2 106.0 85 98 110
had run well in defeat several times since making a successful start to 2017 at Nottingham in April and resumed winning ways with another useful effort; close up, ridden over 2f out, led entering final 1f, ridden out.
22 Sep 17 Nwb C1 Listed 3/11 1.20 Turf L 7f Good Tom Marquand 33/134 60 -/6 2r 97.9 106 103 115
bounced back to form having been freshened up by an 11-week break; chased leaders, outpaced over 2f out, rallied entering final 1f, stuck to task.

8 Jul 17 San C2 Hcap 10/13 7.5 Turf 98 8f Gd/Frm Sean Levey 13/27.5 8.81 -/4.1 3 99.2 99 88 100
had about the strongest form claims in the race (excuses last time), with his second in the Victoria Cup having been boosted since, but he disappointed, in trouble a fair way out and with no obvious excuse; in touch, labouring over 2f out.
21 Jun 17 Asc C2 Hcap 22/29 7 Turf 98 8f Gd/Frm Sean Levey 12/113 21.71 -/16.5 3 100.8 103 94+ 106+
after 6 weeks off, can have a line put through this run, completely undone by the draw, one of 3 who stayed far side and never in the hunt; previous runs this year represent strong form and he's very much the type to bounce back quickly.
13 May 17 Asc C2 Hcap 2/24 0.75 Turf 95 7f Gd/Frm Sean Levey 8/19 11.87 -/2.02 3r 101.3 95 105+ 117+
again ran well, and as with Newbury left the firm impression he has a bigger performance in the locker when things all drop right, sure to have made the winner work harder here had he got the splits at the right time; mid-field, shaken up over 2f out, making good headway when ran out of room 1f out, kept on well again once in the clear, finishing with running left; ahead of his mark and has a straightforward style, so looks sure to remain of interest, especially if back at 1m given his strength at the finish.
22 Apr 17 Nwb C2 Hcap 4/21 0.62 Turf 94 8f Gd/Frm Pat Dobbs 10/111 16.35 -/11 5R 101.8 104 102+ 114+
really going places this year, showing he's cut out for big handicaps, and not done improving from the way he shaped here, finishing well from a long way back, on the other side to where he started (stall 7), the tactics seemingly by design, though he was clinical ridden close up at Nottingham.
12 Apr 17 Not C3 Hcap (0-95) 1/11 0.20 Turf 90 8.3f Good Ryan Moore 9/25.5f 6.22 13.5/- 2kr 103.0 103 100+ 112+
after 6 months off, brought some strong 3-y-o form to the table and made a winning reappearance for second year in a row, doing well to overcome a troubled passage; chased leader, went with zest, caught in a pocket over 2f out until switched 1f out, stayed on to lead final 50 yds; has the physique to do better again as a 4-y-o and will continue to give a good account.

resumed progress with a win back on all-weather after 7 weeks off, the only one to come out of the pack and throw down a challenge to the runner-up, just getting there on the line; mid-field, headway out wide 2f out, stayed on to lead post; likely to continue in form.

2 Sep 16 Hay C3 Hcap (0-90) 5/11 2.07 Turf 89 7f Gd/Frm Pat Dobbs 11/26.5 7.8 -/4.9 4s 96.1 104 91+ 103+
shaped as if back in form, doing about as well as could be expected in a race that didn't work out for him; dwelt, towards rear, kept on steadily from 2f out without reaching the principals, fared best of those held up; represents some strong formlines from earlier in the summer and not one to write off.
19 Aug 16 San C3 Hcap (0-90) 5/9 4.05 Turf 89 8.1f Good Sean Levey 15/28.5 9.72 -/2.56 4 98.7 103 90 102
ran better than last time, without fully returning to top form, short on excuses; held up, ridden over 2f out, edged right, stayed on, not quicken late on.
30 Jul 16 Goo C2 Hcap (0-105) 8/14 4.77 Turf 89 7f Gd/Frm Jim Crowley 9/110 11.11 -/9.6 3 106.0 94 82 94
came into this on the up and probably better judged on those efforts for the time being (latest run working out well) as he was forced wider than ideal here; mid-field, pushed along 3f out, weakened final 1f.
15 Jul 16 Nmj C4 Hcap (0-85) 2/7 0.05 Turf 85 8f Gd/Frm Tom Marquand 11/26.5 7.2 -/1.39 2r 100.4 108 98 110
ran at least as well in defeat as when winning the time before, as expected seeing out the extra furlong, and only going down to an improving type; in touch, ridden over 2f out, led approaching 1f out, tackled soon after, edged out close home, stuck to task; will continue to give a good account.
8 Jun 16 Hay C4 Hcap (0-85) 1/8 0.50 Turf 80 7f Gd/Frm Sean Levey 9/25.5 5.81 17/- 3r 100.9 103 90 102
comes from a race over C&D which looks particularly strong, doing his bit to uphold that impression as he took this without having to improve, confirming that he's a more mature model now, again settling well; mid-field, effort over 2f out, stayed on to lead late on; doing his best work at the finish, he'll stay 1m when asked and is sure to go well again.
28 May 16 Hay C4 Hcap (0-85) 3/13 1.20 Turf 76 7f Gd/Frm Tom Marquand (3) 14/115 22 -/4 2r 105.4 104 85 97
reappearance win (in maiden) was routine, but this shows he's progressing, likely to have won most handicaps with this performance, the pair that beat him out of the ordinary and way ahead of their mark, George William in the heat of the race sooner than them (challenged 2f out) and sticking to the task well; he's settling down now, opening the door to 1m, bred for it.

after 8 months off (gelded since last seen), matched his best 2-y-o form to get off the mark with a bit to spare; chased leader, travelled best, shaken up straight, edged ahead last ½f, ridden out; remains with potential.

22 Aug 15 San C4 Hcap (0-85) 6/11 3.05 Turf 76 7.1f Gd/Frm Pat Dobbs 8/19 12.51 -/12 5sp 100.4 90 74+ 86+
wasn't far off the form he'd shown in maidens but caught the eye and promised better to come, making his nursery debut, left with a lot to do early in the straight and not given a hard time; slowly into stride, in rear, not settle fully, shaken up 2f out, kept on well under considerate handling final 1f, finished with running left; capable of better and one to keep an eye on.
23 Jul 15 Nwb C4 Mdn Stks 5/10 4.02 Turf M 6f Gd/Frm Richard Hughes 11/112 15.5 -/8 3p 86 73 85
hasn't progressed from a promising debut, weak in the market on this occasion, again a shade keen despite dropping back in trip; in touch, not settle fully, ridden over 2f out, one paced.
11 Jun 15 Hay C5 Mdn Stks 3/7 2.50 Turf M 7f Firm Richard Hughes 8/111.72f 1.83 -/1.76 2p 106.1 76 73 85
upped in trip, failed to progress immediately from debut but this was hardly devoid of encouragement, too free for his own good as well, and he should still improve, in excellent hands; close up, took strong hold, every chance over 1f out, one paced.
21 May 15 Goo C4 Mdn Stks 4/8 0.90 Turf M 6f Good Pat Dobbs 14/115 19.27 -/3.05 5sk 100.1 94 74+ 86+
(by Paco Boy: third foal: dam 1m winner who probably stayed 1¼m) looked stable second string, going off a much bigger price than War Whisper, but little between them at the line, George William shaping just as well as his stablemate; dwelt, held up, travelled well, short of room 2f out, ran on late; better to come and bound to win a maiden in the next few weeks.
