1 Nov 18 Mun Group 1 3/7 8 Turf G1 11.9f Soft Franny Norton 32/10 -/ 3 115 128
continues to finish in the frame without reproducing his Derby form; chased leaders, niggled along in back straight, sixth home turn, stayed on.
15 Sep 18 Don C1 Group 1 4/12 9 Turf G1 14.5f Good Silvestre De Sousa 9/110 11.5 -/9.2 2 104.4 118 114 127
added a St Leger fourth to his Derby second but the rest of his CV doesn't read so well as that top line, a so-far winless season saying rather more, and this was still a notch below his Epsom form, the different trip not doing much for him, racing in touch and right in the firing line over 3f out (off the bridle for a while before then) but lacking any change of pace, a recurring theme.
4 Aug 18 Goo C1 Group 3 2/4 4.50 Turf G3 12f Gd/Frm Silvestre De Sousa 6/42.5f 2.54 -/2.38 2l 108.8 130 116 129
was well backed, the form pick after all, but again failed to match his Derby form, turning in a lacklustre effort and having no answer to the winner in the closing stages, though the ground was firmer than ideal and he is well overdue a try at 1¾m; went in snatches, shaken up from stalls to lead but unable to do so, mostly raced second, ridden before home turn, challenged entering straight, not quicken over 1f out.
14 Jul 18 Lon Group 1 3/6 4.25 Turf G1 11.9f Good William Buick 23/10 -/ 2r 110 123
fared little better than last time but neither of his starts since the Derby have allowed his stamina to come into play to the same extent and he was again made to look short of pace; chased leader, pushed along in false straight to close him down, challenged soon after home turn, not quicken, stayed on again late to reclaim third, needs the emphasis more on stamina; he'll prove suited by further than 1½m.
30 Jun 18 Cur Group 1 7/12 4.95 Turf G1 12f Gd/Frm Silvestre De Sousa 10/34.33 5.1 -/3.9 2 108.1 107 110 123
bidding to go one better than at Epsom, proved a let-down on the firmest ground he has encountered to date, the writing on the wall some way out, his lack of tactical speed cruelly exposed; tracked pace, outpaced 3f out, lost place early in straight, keeping on when snatched up final 1f; type to bounce back quickly.
2 Jun 18 Eps C1 Group 1 2/12 1.50 Turf G1 12f Good Silvestre De Sousa 20/121 25.65 -/10 3r 106.6 132 121 134
has taken his form to a new level on his last 2 starts, as his stamina has been drawn out, this searching test at the trip enabling him to outpoint the third after the winner had gone, running to a very smart level, no reason why he won't back it up when he faces a similar or even a greater test of stamina; soon steadied, effort straight, every chance under 2f out, not quicken, kept on stoutly well inside final 1f; he may well take his chance in the Irish Derby, though he's got St Leger written all over him.
9 May 18 Chs C1 Group 3 2/10 0.50 Turf G3 12.3f Good Franny Norton 12/113 17.63 -/1.5 3r 101.8 125 111+ 124+
is a strong stayer and he's improving now stamina is being drawn out, sure to stay further still, whilst reverting to a more galloping track will surely see him an even better light too, points that make this career-best effort in defeat all the more promising even before taking into account his wide trip; mid-field, headway under pressure out wide home turn, challenged inside final 1f, stuck to task and pulled clear of the remainder; he may well take his chance in the Derby but ongoing improvement is more likely to come in slightly calmer waters and the Queen's Vase at Royal Ascot appeals as an ideal target.
25 Apr 18 Eps C1 Listed 3/8 1.35 Turf L 10.1f Good James Doyle 15/82.87f 3.11 -/2.8 3R 116.3 89 99+ 112+
was strong in the betting after 6 months off and did well under the circumstances, deserving extra credit as he was disadvantaged by the run of the race, in mid-division and outpaced 3f out before finishing best of all; a step up to 1½m will suit and he remains capable of better with that in mind.

14 Oct 17 Nmr C1 Listed 2/7 3.50 Turf L 10f Gd/Frm P. J. McDonald 7/24.5 4.37 -/1001 2or 106.0 107 100 113
upped in trip and on firmer going than previously, ran to a similar level to last time, stamina very much his strong suit; tracked pace, challenged 3f out, outpaced over 2f out, rallied final 1f, retook second final 100 yds, no impression on winner; has the physique to make a 3-y-o and could yet progress further as his stamina is drawn out.
1 Oct 17 Eps C2 Stks 1/7 0.75 Turf W 8.5f Heavy Franny Norton 7/24.5 5.27 9.8/- 2sr 107.9 101 100 113
resumed winning ways and belatedly improved on his big debut effort, handling the very testing ground well, whilst the slightly longer trip seemed in his favour too; dwelt, went prominent after 1f, pushed along over 2f out, close up over 1f out, kept on well, led final 50 yds and won going away; he will stay 1¼m and might yet have more to offer.
9 Sep 17 Hay C1 Listed 3/7 4.00 Turf L 8.2f Soft Adam Kirby 3/14f 4.4 -/2.44 1 105.5 107 95 108
hasn't progressed from his sparkling debut, though he'd set an abnormally high standard that day and had different ground to contend with this time, his career still little more than a month old as well; led until under 2f out, not quicken, kept on again late on, as though the extra distance wasn't an issue; all in all, it's reasonable to expect him to win races in at least this grade as he gains experience.
23 Aug 17 Yor C1 Group 3 6/11 7.5 Turf G3 7f Gd/Sft James Doyle 6/52.2f 2.32 -/2 2l 100.9 86 86 99
was gambled on up in grade, saying as much about his reputation as the striking impression of his debut, and though he proved to be a disappointment he's clearly better than this and is worth another chance; chased leaders, never travelling well, struggling over 2f out, dropped away.
5 Aug 17 Goo C2 Mdn Stks 1/11 2.25 Turf M 7f Gd/Sft Silvestre De Sousa 5/23.5jf 3.6 5.9/- 1r 104.1 112 99+ 112+
(by Farhh: sixth foal: closely related to 1m winner Solar Moon (by Pivotal) and half-brother to 1m-1¼m winner Bewilder (by Invincible Spirit) and 2-y-o 5f winner Chupalla (by Helmet): dam unraced sister to top-class winner up to 1¼m Dubai Millennium) was well backed and looked potentially smart in making a winning start, knowing his job well but running to the kind of level for a newcomer that suggests he'll be running in Group races sooner rather than later; soon led, shaken up home turn, kept going well to make all; he's an exciting prospect, sure to win more races, his next outing eagerly anticipated.
