ran creditably but had no obvious excuses, his mark demanding more; patiently ridden, not fluent fourth, in touch thirteenth, effort 3 out, every chance approaching last, one paced.
30 Jan 21 Don C1 Hcap 4/11 13 Chase 148 24f Soft (s) Tom Cannon 15/28.5 9.73 -/5 4 100.6 123 140? 157?
remains in good form, another 6 lb rise in the weights seemingly making life tougher for him; patiently ridden, pushed along after thirteenth, one paced straight; he's a smart chaser these days but has a mark that reflects such.
26 Dec 20 Wth C1 Hcap 1/8 0.75 Chase 142 24.2f Heavy (s) Tom Bellamy 9/25.5 6.2 6.2/- 4k 116.1 99 144+ 161+
has progressed really well this season, his jumping much more assured than used to be the case, and made it 3 wins from his last 5 starts in smooth fashion, his speed coming in handy in a steadily-run race back up at 3m; patiently ridden, travelled fluently, smooth headway after 5 out, left second next, upsides from 3 out, shaken up after last, asserted gradually; given his owner, it wouldn't be the biggest surprise if he was now given a break with Cheltenham in mind.
28 Nov 20 Nwb C2 Hcap (0-145) 2/16 4.25 Chase 138 22.4f Good (s) Tom Cannon 8/19 8.7 -/7.8 4r 102.1 145 139+ 156+
is going the right way now, going about it in contrasting style than for his Aintree win under less testing conditions but still posting a better effort on the figures, faced with an 8 lb rise and a step up in grade; held up, shaken up after eleventh, off pace still 3 out, headway under pressure from next, took second final 100 yds; he's well worth another try at 3m judged on this.
7 Nov 20 Ain C3 Hcap (0-135) 1/10 5 Chase 130 19.9f Soft (s) Tom Bellamy 10/111 11 16.5/- 4K 101.3 145 133+ 150+
was fitter for a recent run and improved in first-time cheekpieces, admittedly fortunate to not have to work harder for the win as Northofthewall's fall handed it to him, but there's still no doubt this was a career-best effort and his jumping does seem to have got better with experience in this sphere; held up, travelled strongly, good progress after tenth, close up when left clear 2 out, eased near finish.
16 Oct 20 Utt C3 Hcap (0-135) 11/18 24 Chase 131 22.5f Gd/Sft Tom Cannon 16/117 26.19 -/18 3 107.2 107 118? 135?
the only winner over fences in the field, was easy to back and not in the same form as when scoring at Huntingdon in March, the run of that race much more in his favour; waited with, pushed along early final circuit, ridden end of back straight, left behind before 3 out, mistake 2 out.

1 Mar 20 Hun C3 Hcap (0-125) 1/9 4.75 Chase 125 19.9f Heavy Tom Cannon 14/115 17.5 48/- 5r 101.6 152 136+ 153+
back down in trip, improved to get off the mark over fences, by and large cutting out the mistakes back under Cannon (who rode him for his only respectable chase run prior to this), picking up some more prominently ridden rivals late on; in rear, slow first, headway out wide 4 out, went third home turn, challenged last, led flat, forged clear; he should be effective back over further based on how he saw this out in a well-run race.
7 Feb 20 Kem C3 Hcap (0-140) 11/11 72.5 Chase 126 24f Gd/Sft Barry Geraghty 4/15 7.3 -/6.6 4x 103.4 62 68 85
was again prominent in the betting but simply hasn't gone on from his chasing debut and has questions to answer now; went rather in snatches, again not fluent, always behind.

6 Dec 19 San C3 Hcap (0-135) 6/10 46 Chase 127 20.1f Gd/Sft Tom Bellamy 5/23.5f 4.03 -/3.9 4x 98.6 106 84+ 101+
well backed, ran poorly, his jumping significantly worse than it had been here on chasing debut; held up, made mistakes, ridden after 4 out, left behind after next, blundered last.
10 Nov 19 San C3 Hcap (0-135) 3/8 8 Chase 127 20.1f Gd/Sft Tom Cannon 8/19 9.2 -/8.4 4 102.7 145 122+ 139+
shaped encouragingly on chasing debut, having changed hands for £110,000 since last seen at the end of the 2017/18 season, his jumping needing a little polishing; held up, yet to be asked for effort when mistake 4 out, shaken up next, mistake 2 out, stayed on run-in, took third near finish; will improve.

20 Apr 18 Fnt C4 Novice 1/12 6 Hurdle N 21.8f Good Tom Cannon 8/111.72f 1.74 3/- 3r 103.5 106 114+ 131+
got going too late in a valuable handicap at Sandown and, back up in trip, didn't need to improve to resume winning ways back in calmer waters, again looking better the further he went; in touch, ridden after 3 out, upsides when not fluent next, edged ahead before last, stayed on well; should stay 3m.
10 Mar 18 San C1 Hcap 4/17 15 Hurdle 128 19.8f Heavy Wayne Hutchinson 10/111 12.5 -/7.8 4r 97.0 126 115+ 132+
ran creditably, getting going a bit too late to land a blow, ridden more patiently than last time; held up, still plenty to do before 2 out, kept on well approaching last, nearest at the finish.
21 Feb 18 Don C4 Novice 1/12 1.5 Hurdle N 19.4f Soft Wayne Hutchinson 13/82.62f 2.84 20/- 2kr 105.5 122 119+ 136+
improved a little to get off the mark, probably benefiting from a 10-week break; chased leaders, travelled well, mistake third, effort 2 out, led before last, stayed on well, strong at the finish; he should stay further than 21f and may do better still.

14 Dec 17 Tau C4 Novice 5/11 32 Hurdle N 23.9f Soft Wayne Hutchinson 9/43.25f 3.43 -/2.3 3 102.5 89 99 116
was beaten by more than lack of stamina over the longer trip, more likely finding the race coming too soon 3 weeks on from his soft-ground second at Wincanton, part of a fairly intensive start to his career for a 4-y-o (earlier ran twice in points); in touch, ridden when mistake 3 out, no response approaching straight.
23 Nov 17 Wnc C4 Novice 2/11 5 Hurdle N 21.4f Soft Wayne Hutchinson 7/42.75f 2.96 -/1.4 4 105.1 128 129+ 146+
has made a promising start over hurdles and it's surely only a matter of time before he goes one better, second now on all 3 starts, including in a point; waited with, chased leaders entering straight, challenged between last 2, not fluent last, no match for winner on run-in but clear of rest.
31 Oct 17 Chp C4 Novice 2/16 0.75 Hurdle N 19.5f Gd/Sft Tom Cannon 15/28.5 9.76 -/1.02 3 111.4 121 122+ 139+
(€9,000 3-y-o, £26,000 4-y-o: by Mahler: sixth foal: half-brother to unreliable but fair hurdler/chaser Debt To Society (19f-27f winner, by Moscow Society): dam unraced) twice-raced in points (runner-up on completed start), produced a promising first effort in this sphere, the race looking his once he'd worked his way to the front, probably still green; mid-division, in contention 4 out, effort from next, edged ahead between last 2, lost momentum last, headed quickly, rallied, held close home; better to come.
