returned to his Commonwealth Cup form to land his second Group 1 sprint of the summer and his third in all; never far away, travelled well, headway under 2f out, led over 1f out, wandered under pressure final 1f but always holding on; he'll continue to give a good account in the remaining top 6f contests.

came up against a totally different Ten Sovereigns than he had at Royal Ascot and, though not quite matching that last performance, this was a very good effort back on firmer ground with the blinkers retained, doing nothing at all wrong; prominent, pushed along over 2f out, chased leader inside final 1f, kept on, no impression on winner; he seems sure to go well in the other big 6f races.

second to Calyx in a very good running of the Coventry the previous year, bounced back from his poor effort in the Guineas (when his stable was under a cloud) to land a second Group 1 success, showing improved form in blinkers first time; held up, travelled well, good headway 2f out, led 1f out, kept on well, won readily; has clearly trained on well and should make an impact against the older sprinters later in the summer.

runner-up to Too Darn Hot in the Dewhurst, looked to have done plenty of work and has the physique to make an impact at 3 yrs, but he didn't run much of a race after 7 months off, beaten well before the longer trip came into play (not certain to stay 1m); raced centre, held up, not settle fully, labouring over 2f out; he had some strong form at 2 yrs, so isn't one to write off just yet.

had been rather overlooked in the build up despite already having a Group 1 in the bag, testament to the strength of the race, but close to the off there was money for him and he improved his form further 8 weeks on from the Phoenix, unfortunate to be around in such a stellar year as his rating is as good as some Dewhurst winners; prominent, travelled fluently, challenged 2f out, led briefly entering final 1f, kept on but no match for winner; his pedigree says more sprinter than miler but he saw this extra furlong out well enough at this early stage of his career to at least think it feasible he may prove effective over 1m as a 3-y-o.

didn't need to be at his best to follow up last month's July Stakes victory, taking the step up into Group 1 company in his stride, though helped in no small part by his main market rival underperforming; led first 1f, ridden soon after halfway, led again approaching final 1f, tackled close home, kept going well; should prove at least as effective at 7f, with the National Stakes back here and/or the Dewhurst sure to come under close consideration, especially with Calyx - the only horse to beat Advertise to date - reportedly ruled out for the season.

was strong in the betting, the clear form pick on his second in the Coventry at Royal Ascot and he didn't need to improve on that to resume winning ways in ready fashion; held up, smooth headway from halfway, led over 1f out, kept up to work; he remains capable of better with stronger pattern races likely to be on his agenda later in the season.

emerged narrowly the best in his group, building significantly on his debut form and looking well up to winning at this level before long, just unable to trouble the winner despite being on the favoured side; slowly into stride, raced far side, held up, travelled well, smooth headway over 2f out, shaken up over 1f out, kept on well; is a powerfully-built colt who should progress again.

(£60,000Y: by Showcasing: third foal: half-brother to 2-y-o 7f winner Flavius Titus (by Lethal Force): dam, 6f winner, closely related to useful 2-y-o 6f winner Adorn) was off the mark straight away, at the sort of level it took his year-older half-brother 3 tries to get to as a juvenile in 2017, Advertise hailing from a yard that often gets them wound up, without any bar to their progress, encouraging that he was strongest at the end (sustained run from the rear), crucially keeping straighter than the runner-up; he'd need another race to say he was Royal Ascot material.
