Requited - Windsor 18:10
Flag: Horse In Focus
The market for the six-furlong novice stakes at Windsor is dominated by Glorious Lover, who looks sure to improve following a good third on his debut at Newbury. He looks short enough in the betting judged by that piece of form alone, however, and at the prices, it could be worth taking a chance on Requited instead, as quotes of around 14/1 are too dismissive of the promise he showed at Kempton last time.
Only ninth on his debut at Newbury, he stepped up markedly on that form to be beaten less than four lengths last time, impressing with the way he travelled into the straight and spared a hard race once it became clear his chance had gone, having been short of room at a crucial stage. He looks just the type who will come into his own in nurseries, for which he will be qualified after this, but Hughie Morrison's charge probably wouldn't need to improve much to make his presence felt here first, especially if settling better in the early stages, and it would be no surprise to see him put up a serious challenge to the favourite.
