Realisation (Timeform rating c118p)
Runner-up, 2½m handicap chase, Lingfield, Tuesday 12 November
Realisation has had to settle for minor honours on her two starts over fences but she has shaped well on both occasions and it shouldn't be long before she opens her account in this sphere. Realisation would probably have gone close with better luck in running on her chasing debut at Warwick last month and she was only denied by a head in a good-looking race for the grade at Lingfield on Tuesday after finishing strongly up the run-in. She may well have won had she not got in tight to the final fence when closing, and she remains capable of better as a chaser.
Lowry's Bar (c137p)
Runner-up, 2½m handicap chase, Bangor, Wednesday 13 November
Lowry's Bar was unable to justify strong support on his first start over fences at Bangor but he shaped really well behind the impressive winner, Jagwar, who is an exciting young chaser. Lowry's Bar, who travelled smoothly and jumped soundly, quickened clear briefly between the last couple of fences and stuck to his task well but had no answer to the power-packed finish from the winner who was in receipt of 7 lb. This looks like a strong piece of form and Lowry's Bar won't always bump into one so far ahead of his mark.
Dysart Enos (h135p)
Third, Greatwood Handicap Hurdle, Cheltenham, Sunday 17 November
This was by no means a vintage field for the Greatwood, with a thin Irish representation and with the topweight off a mark of just 137, but three progressive, well-handicapped horses came to the fore, and third-placed Dysart Enos is one to follow. She was unbeaten prior to running at Cheltenham on Sunday, winning her first six starts and looking very promising in doing so and, while she was unable to justify her position at the head of the market, she shaped very well indeed. Dysart Enos left the impression that she'd come on for the run after looking the biggest threat to the winner Burdett Road (who was fit from the Flat) at the second-last. She tired afterwards and should be all the better for that outing next time, and she will be a force to be reckoned with back against her own sex for the remainder of this season.
