GAZILLY SHAY (Trap 6, 18.55) has clearly showed no ill effects from a recent spell on the side-lines, his 28.71 trial victory at Newcastle earlier this month highlighting his well-being. A C&D winner previously, his make-up as the sole wide seed looks ideal for the strong-running son of Droopys Cain and he can make full use of it.
LIGHTFOOT JANNA (Trap 3, 19.09) arrives with the bit firmly between her teeth, again highlighting her versatility in mixing 4 & 6 bends with success. She sets the standard on recent exploits over this distance and, provided she can emerge from the opening couple of bends unscathed, all looks set fair for another bold showing.
SHARPYS PLUTO (Trap 1, 19.57) is a youngster with a bright future, particularly over staying trips judged on his exploits over 660 metres since the turn of the year. Winner of a Maiden Stayer’s Final on his penultimate start the son of Viking Jack had little go right in graded company over 4 bends latest. However, his make-up on the rails looks a good one, particularly if he can trap fast and hold his position, and we’re happy to side with him to come out on top.
