Quickly made up into a smart performer over fences, landing 17f maiden prior to Punchestown Grade 3 in October. Improved further in defeat back up in trip, runner-up behind Mighty Potter in 21f Grade 1 at Leopardstown 38 days ago. Even longer trip here could unlock a little more progress.

|||||
Low-mileage hurdler who looked a good prospect when making winning chase debut in Fairyhouse maiden (21f) in October. Things haven't gone to plan since, likely to have finished closer still but for a late bump/error at last when third in Naas Gr 3 in January. Still, this does demand good bit more.

Successful sole start in bumpers and 2 from 5 over hurdles, career-best display when taking Fairyhouse Grade 2 last spring. Improved on chase debut form, albeit making heavy weather of it, when landing maiden at that venue (21.6f) in January. Remains early days but more needed.

Successful only start in points and yet to taste defeat in 7 starts under Rules, his jumping again looking an asset as he landed Grade 1 Scilly Isles Novices' Chase at Sandown (20f) in game fashion last month. Highly likely there's more to come and he's unexposed at around 3m. Obvious claims.

Useful over hurdles for Nicky Henderson. Definite promise over fences for new yard, runner-up first 2 starts in maidens and not disgraced when 11 lengths fourth in Leopardstown Grade 1 early last month. However, more needed if he's to feature here. One of 5 representatives for Willie Mullins.

Hurdles winner at 2½m who finished sixth in Albert Bartlett here 12 months ago. Showed improved form to make winning chase debut at Thurles (3m) in December and first past post (subsequently demoted for causing interference) in Naas Grade 3 in January. Remains with potential.

Champion Bumper winner 2 years ago who confirmed himself one of last season's leading novice hurdlers, taking Gr 1 Ballymore at this meeting 12 months ago. Jumping mixed when landing Gowran maiden chase (2m) in January and whilst light on experience he clearly has the ability to be a major player.

Winner over hurdles for Ann Duffield and, since re-united with this yard, has scaled new heights over fences, landing a C&D novice in November and very impressive when following up in Grade 2 Dipper (20.6f) here on New Year's Day. Exciting prospect and one for the shortlist.

Four-time hurdle winner last season and plenty to like about pair of novice handicap chase victories at up to 19f earlier this term. Far from disgraced without being fluent at his obstacles in stronger company subsequently and this step up in trip could just help. Remains with potential.

|||||
Dual Grade 1 winning hurdler who made successful chase debut at Exeter (3m) in November. Jumping lacked conviction at Newbury next time but proved a good deal more convincing (equipped with cheekpieces) when taking Grade 1 Kauto Star at Kempton over Christmas. Kept fresh since but this tougher.

|||||
Point/hurdles winner who looked something out of the ordinary when making a successful start over fences at Bangor (17.4f, heavy) in November. Never figured on back of an early blunder in Kauto Star but firmly back on track to land Warwick Grade 2 in January. Very good prospect and not ruled out.
