A good-quality contest, bang up to scratch for a Group 3, and there's no reason to doubt the result, either, the pace sound; the form of Silver Mist's handicap win here earlier in the month got a boost when Fateh Field ran well earlier on the card, and he bettered that effort to justify favouritism in this stronger race, winning with more in hand than a neck indicates, too, as he didn't do a great deal in front having shown a good turn of foot; Silver Mist already has the form to make some sort of impact in the Dubai Duty Free on World Cup night, but the Al Fahidi Fort looks a logical next start in the interim; Third Set enhanced his impressive record at this course with another very good effort on the back of his handicap win, but Kirklees got too far back turning in, finishing strongly and leaving the impression he has a similar race in him sooner or later; Mashaahed also shaped well returning from almost a year off, headed only in the closing stages having kicked clear off the turn.
