The following table explains the symbols which may be used in conjunction with the ratings.
A range of symbols can be attached to Timeform Ratings. Some, like 'the Timeform squiggle' and 'the Timeform large "P" ' have achieved widespread recognition. Here's a full list of the symbols applicable to Flat racing.

| + | the horse (or performance) may be better than rated |
| ? | the rating is suspect or (if used without a rating) the horse is out of form or cannot be assessed with confidence |

This includes the current Timeform commentary, followed by a start-by-start account of the horse's racing career and any future races [currently on the Timeform database] for which the horse is entered. Most of the information requires no further explanation. Please note that in the going column, D indicates a race on the dirt or all-weather and T indicates a race on turf. The two right-hand columns show, for this start, the Timeform Computer Timefigure recorded (GB racing only) and the Timeform Rating achieved.

A difficult race to assess, particularly with So Shiny, who'd beaten all of these in the UAE 1000 Guineas last time so disappointing; Devotee was heavily supported for that race, when found to have had an irregular heartbeat, and she showed more of what she's about this time in defeating Earth Living, who almost certainly bettered the form she showed when filling the same position in the Guineas, indeed, travelling like the best filly for a long way before edging left under pressure; the pair were well clear of Sos Brillante and So Shiny, with the latter always doing too much in front, while the remainder finished well held.
